My term is over in four months, and I'm just starting to feel settled in! This semester I've been run- ning around talking to MPs and MLAs, making sure that they are up to date on student issues. Our big campaign for this year in on lowering tuition fees and increasing accessibil- ity to post-secondary education. This semester I've organized two major campaigns around those issues. Also, I've been working with many wonder- ful people on many different issues. Two awareness weeks to watch for are Aids Awareness week in the last week of November, and Violence Against Women Awareness in the first week of December. Next semester | will continue with the tuition cam- paign, and try to fill the calendar with lots of other fun and important things. I encourage all of you to get involved this year and | hope to see you around campus. If you have any questions or concerns, or are just looking for someone to talk to, feel free to drop by my office in the Barn, or get in touch with me via phone or email. Take time to relax and enjoy the holiday season. -Caolan Moore UPEI Student Union Office Hours Monday to Friday 9 AM - 4PM If you have any comments or sugges- tions regarding the UPEI Student Union Newsletter, please call Cara at 566-0530 or e-mail studentu@upei.ca.
