Engineering students are arrogant. I’ve been told so many times this week, so I guess it’s true. Actually, I’m proud to admit it. What does it mean to be arrogant? Arrogant people brook no incompetance. For those people who don’t realize it yet, engineering students who suc- cessfully complete their degree have a heavy mantle of responsibility to bear. They can only screw up once. Responsibility also extends to the work of those under them, so toler- Arrogant people automatically take the lead, be it in school spirit, in having a good time, in responsibil- ity. If engineers were sheepish fol- lowers, they wouldn’t be able to create the technological innova- tions necessary to carry our society into the next century.
