VHE Government of Prince Edward Island has given Notice, that on and after the 10th day ofJULY, 1867, a light will be exhibited from a Lighthouse recently erected on East Point, Prince Edward Island. The light will be 9. jier white light, at an elevation of 180 feet above the level of high water, and in clear weather should be seen at a distance of 18 miles. The tower is octagonal, white, 60 feet high from base to vane, and stands ‘200 yards in shore from the south side of the point, and in lat. 46° 27’ 9” N., long. 61° 58‘ 15” West of Greenwich. HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this day p‘eased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiable Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:— In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ofthe paper currency of the United States, the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR SHILLINGS AND SIX-FENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a Dol- lar; of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
