CURE ms A C/iNct:tr.—Having heard of the following cure of this most alllicting disease, on such authority as leaves tio doubt ofits truth, we feel itour duty to lay it belore the public. A lady who for several years had been afllict- ed with a. cancer extending all over her breast and stomach, all other means having failed, was advised to try the olI'uct ofa oultice of what is termed carrot dock, at small ong-leaved variety which grows with a long small root.‘ and also to drink a tea made from it to sweetened with the syrup of sarsaparilla, she did so, and in a vet short time, the whole sur- face aflcctcd with the cancerous ulcers assumed an itppcnratnco, indicative of healing, except a small deep spot on the ribs of her left side and in as few weeks, was with tltatoxccption covered with n. skin-—having before that for a long time been in a. condition of the most painful excoria- tion. In about two tnontlis after, all the rest of the cancer was healed over and to all appetit- anco well. lit taking olI' the poulticu from the deep spot above alluded to, the core came out ttcctimpttnicd by a. report sitnilttr that made by the tincorking of at ltottlc ol' porter. From this period but a few weeks elapsed before that part also was licalcd over. It has now been two years since this cure was effected, and no symp- toms as yet have occurred to justify apprenhen- sion of the return of the cancer. I‘ho tea made from the «look was continued to be drunk some titno afterwards. a '\Vc know two vtriclit-4 of ~"IIZlll‘IC.|\'t:tl d -ck, the one hits a short top root \\lIIl many latcitl onus- be: Tits Dusi.t.o,—The following myste- rious account appears in the Constitution- M1: domain of Neuilly, was last week the theatre of a mysterious event. At, about ten o‘clock in the morning, a boutman, in a state of great excitement, presented him- self to the Commissary of Police of the quarter, and made the following deposition: About an hour ago, as I was standing on the bank ol' the river near my boat, a. carriage drove up, from which there a- lighted six gentlemen, reninrkahly well dressed, of whom three were the decoration oftlie Legion of Horrottr. They appeared very gay. ‘ My friend,’ said one of them tr ‘ will yott row us over to the Island?’ tainly,’ said I, and ten minutes alter- wards they all latitlt-dtliere. They then began to look more serious. Iwantcd to retire, bttt they (lCSll't‘(I me to stay, and while two oftlicin I‘(.‘llIillllt’:(I behind to watch me, the (1Ill(‘I'S walked on to .1 group of trees, on the other side of which they stopod. I saw the S\VOt‘Ll5, and ltlie cliirtk of them one agzairist the other I while the tigltt lasted, which was but for :1 very .~.'imrt time. l’i'cscritly the dead body of one of the parties was brought down to my boat. I-Io had I".'CCI\’Ctl a sn'ord~tlii'ttst right thronglt his breast, and was covered with loud. Accorditig to the little I could gather from the cotivt-t-szttiort I heard, the duel ar.'..-o out ofa qu.tt-rt-l which occurred at the l:t.+t masqucrrtde hall at the Opera. The seconds had the appearance of milita- ry uicn executing their orders. I took them brick across the Seine. They placed the corpse in their carriage, and drove off to Paris. The Commissary of Police int- mcdiately irtstituled ttri inquiry, buthillict-to his iitvcstigatioiis have been without re- ‘ sult.” \. I.~i'ri:nrnsr.i'rion or Dttt:A.\is.—'I‘here is a new guide to the interpretation ofdreams. An ling- lish papcrthus puts it :—~-"|‘otlro:iin of a rnillstorie routid your neck, is what you may expect, if _v0u get an cxtrrivagarit wife. To see apples ill a dream lr--tokens a wedrling, because “here you find apples, _\'on imy I¢:‘.'l:(lII?Il)l_V expect to find ‘pears. To drcutii that you are lame is It token ‘ that ynti will got into a bubble. When a young llatly dreams of a «'o.".it, ii lvotokerts that she yslruuld iristanlly discontinue lacing her stays tight- ly, and always go warmly and thickly shod in wet weather. If yoti dream of a clock, it is a token that you will gain crcdit—that is, a tick. To dream of fire is .1 sign ll:.H, if you are wise, you will see the lights in your house are out before you go to lied. A most astnnialiitii: cnro ofa Bail Breast by Hollow:ty’s (linttnent and I’ills—;\Irs. Holt, of . Quebec, was for a long time afllictcd with’ a bad breast, every thing medical aid could do to cure her was unavailittg; indeed, it became tntich worse, and the family surgeon finally suggested that the only hope of saving ltcr life consisted in having the breast cut off. She determined to ‘ wait a short llll’.£‘. to consider, and a sister oftlie sufferer who called in brought a quantity of the other a long slender one without laterals ; the Hollo\vay’s Ointment and Pills, which she insist- l.1tteri< the kink to be uaed.—.dm¢rt'can Farmer. ed on rising sub row at first ,this was continued for a few days, which improved her so much that P0UT_'¢ll- PARAD0X“-ACCS Of Pfll'llfl- she wasinduced to continue them, and at the “'9'” Wm *‘lI°"d l"°"e“3°d P|'°Vl3l°"3a bl“ expiration of six weeks, her breast Vas oom- not food. pletely cured, and has remained well ever since.
