The survey places the equatorial radius of the earth t 6 378 388 metres (metre equals 39 in.), and the reci- procal of the flattering of the earth at the poles is found to be 297. These values are believed to be more accurate than any hitherto derived. |'l'he equatorial radius is exact to within three ject. The survey has been conducting investigationrfo long time. Continuous triangulation on one basis has been conducted in forty-one Sitates, and these results used in conjunction with astronomic- al obser\'af.ions are the basis of the snrvey’s findings. The earth's crust extends inward for seventy-five miles according to the survey, when liq- uid prcssure begins. A description of the rnun luis been secured, and the church officials have placed the case in the hands of the police. Luckily the church was not used last night, prospect.
