Li‘eut.Arthur Raymond Crockett was the eldest son of Mr_ and Mrs. J_ M_ Crockett of Pleasant Grove and went overseas in command or -the Signal Section of the 105th_ Batt_ in 1916. _When the 105th 'was merged with the 104th he was transferred 'to the 13th Reserve Battalion and lin May of this year proceeded to France where he was attached to the 26th Regiment and took part in the third battle ot the Somme where he was kill-led in action on August 9th. He is survived by his widow (nee Miles Laura E. West, York) his parents und two sisters Mrs_ Leonard Court_ Donaldson, amd' Mrs. Gordon Brown, Pleasant Grove. whose husband is in France with the 78th Regiment; also two brothers Ambrose Loyd, and Fenwick both “over there," the latter- lwllig Slightly wounded in the big drive.
