ToiiighUs Attraction, the Merry tomtdy “|s Marriage a Failure.” Before a large audience last very favorably with productions of this play seen here in recent years. The several vaudeville numbers night at the Prince Edward Theatre tho Ycung=Adnms Company gave a highly creditable performance of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," Mr. H. Wllmot Young in the dual role of Jekyll and Hyde having ample op- portunity to demonstrate his pro - fesslonal talents. Mr. Young did so and with marked success and the audience were not slow to show their appreciation. Miss Adams also acquitted her self very cspably as the "Vicar's Daughter." unmistakeebly winning the approval of the audience. The other characters were all in capable hands. and the perform once when all through compared afforded variety and enjoyment. Tonight Sydney Grundy’s English comedy “is Marriage o. Failure?" will be presented with Mr. Young playing the role so often played by Lawrence D'0rsay. The story is bus ed on the "Arabian Nights and was built for laughing purposes only. It is t- needed to be one of the fun- niest comedies of today and those who enjoy a hearty laugh should be in their places on time. As a matinee attraction "Uncie Tom's Cabin" will he presented this afternoon. FIRES 0F A YEA IN During the year 1920 now draw- ing to a. close there was l. total of 37 alarms rang in for fires in Char lottetown as compared with 31 in 1919.Thero was no extraordinary loss by any of these fires and this fact is undoubtedly due in great measure to the efficiency of th e Charlottetown Fire Brigade. The firemen on every occasion have res pended tocach alarm with their well-known pronipitude and to Chief Ronaghan and the “boys of the old brigade" congratulations are certainly in order for the good showing made. It is safe to say that few towns in Canada the size of Charlottetown can show such a good record.
