{Mk wedding of Princess This charming adolescent is 14 year old Princess Anne. the Queen's second child. The photograph was taken shortly before her 12th birthday on August 15. 1962 by Mr. and Mrs. Archie Parker for the British Infor- mation Services. Last month a wind blown Princess was photographed at London airport. on her way to Athens to serve as a bridesmaid for the Anne Marie of Denmark and ' Greece. Being a bridesmaid at. a Royal wedding is not a new thing for the Queen's look-alike daughter: she served in the same capacity for her cousin Princess Alexandra in April of 1963. and for Lady Pamela Mountbatten in January 1960. Princess Anne is the first daughter of a reigning monarch to attend boarding school. She became a student at Benedcn School Kent in September of last year. Before entering boarding her lessons at Buckingham Palace where she was a Brownie and Girl Guide. Princess Anne was born at[ Clarence House. London on Au- i gust 15. 1950. the second chilul husband the Duke of Edin- burgh. She was baptized all Buckingham Palace on October] 21 by the Archbishop of York; the late Dr. Cyril Garbett ; and was given the name Anne. Elizabeth Alice Louise, In May 1952. three months after her accession to the t h r o n e . Queen Elizabeth maved into Buckingham Palace with her family. From her early childhood the Princess has been a vivacious child whose photographs bear a striking resemblance to those of her mother. the Queen. ; at the same age. ‘ Princess Anne's first lessons‘ were with Miss Katherine Peebles. the governess of her? elder brother. the Prince oil I Wales. When her brother start- ed to be educated away from, the Palace. the Queen arranged l for two of the Princess‘s friends I to share her lessons.
