There were a large number of costumes of varied colour aind design, some of which were quite original. Several costumes must have required a great deal of work in their preparation. for they wore very intricatc in design. This an- nual event brings forth many interesting types of dress, many which proved highly hilarious. The assembly danced to the music of Mr. Messrs orchestra who provided old-time and modern music, and all enjoyed the dance to the greatest extent. MAGISTRATFS OOURT In magistrates court three per- sons were tined in Montague last week by Magistrate J.W. Mac- Donald for exceeding the speed lim- it. through the main thoroughfare. It is understood that this speeding law will be exercised to the limit against all speedcrs who through their careless fla/unting of the law, an endangering the lives of chil- dren and adults. With some fore- thought it might be amply apparent to such speeders that since the main street is not overly wide. the danger of accidents is correspondingly in- creased, and surely no one is going anywhere in such a hurry that the lives of citizens need be placed in jeopardy. Drivers are urged to ex- ercise caution on entering the lorn- its of Montague, for speeding is to he prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. perpiration srors Offending Odor effectively -— gently\ Always creamy, smooth.
