Annie McDonald, wile of Mr Roderick Nicholson, in her 80th year. She was a. daughter of the late Donald McDonald and Mary Glllis of Shamrock, P. E. I. Her life was an exemplary one in many ways by her love for ha: family and friends and her cheery disposition. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years and when union come about she joined the UnitedChurch. Although an invalid for years and for the past two years was confined to her bed where she gradually weak- ened until the cnd came, slic was never heard to murmur or complain. When speech was gone, her kindly smile still greeted her friends and loved ones. She was the mother of seven daughters, four of whom pre- deceased her ln childhood; the re- maining three are Mrs. E. Calvin McKay, Mrs. Leslie B. Smith and Mrs. Arthur J. Heartz. She is also survived by her husband and one grandson, Arthur Nicholson Heartz; also two sisters, Mrs. Alexander Bu- chanan, Bradalbane, and Mrs. Don- ald McLennan, Inkerman. Her fun- eral, which was very largely attend- ed. was held from her late residence 181 Kent Street, Charlottetown to people's cemetery on Friday, March 1st and was conducted by her pas- tors, Rev.
