In dealing with the school fairs and other exhibitions throughout the Province the Minister of Agri- culture gave ua n great deal of in- fomation. Some oi it is worth re- peating; and, Mr. Speaker, I wish ;t~ corroborate the statements that. the Minister made with regarding ; mcse exhibitions and fairs. The larg- est of these is the- Provincial Ex- hibition, held at Charlottetown. I was pleased to hear the Minister speak so enthusiastically about the attendance at that exhibition. He gave in detail a. great deal of'in- formation with regard to the value of these exhibitions to the farmer. As an exhibitor, and as one who has taken e. great deal of interest in ex- hibitions, there is nobody better qualified to speak on the subject than the Minister of Agriculture man who knows Minister himself pies. Provincial Exhibition. year, as ¢ nas an outstandin success, ngricul- City Council and the citizens 'of' 'sociation made it possible for Prince iEdwnrd Island to enjoy what was .probably the best exhibition ever .held in the Province. I was very iglad indeed that the Minister, in`his speech the other night, urged that ithc fullest support be given to these exhibitions, because, after all, the $10,000 expended in grants goes back ito the farmers and is ol practical 'benefit in the improvement of ag- riculture. ~ While the Provincial Inhibition was L success from the standpoint ot agriculture and attendance, I-nm ey in the project are concerned, it was not successful. However, those men, who have many thousands of dollars lnvcetcd in tho Exhibition Association are public spirited eit- laelu and an always satisfied to work for the welfare and inthe .beet intoruta of Cbnrlottetown and the community generally. With the au- slatoncc given to them by the Dap- nty Minister of Agriculture ae sco- retnry of the Association, they were satisfied, whether they received any dividends' or not. to make It a ano- ocu from the vlllkrl' and exhibit- on' standpoint. _ School Fein are another vary im- portlnt feature of our exhibition ac- tivities.
