A bad fire in Bristol on Satur- day night destroyed the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Laybolt, along with some furniture. It is believed the fire started around the stove while the family were out. and, tanned by a high wind, the house \v levelled In a short time. Some for y oars stopped along the high- way and willing hands carried the furniture out including the ho: stove. So intense was the blaze that at one time the eastbound late Souris bus was held up. The blaze was seen for miles around. Fire destroyed two barns oin the farm of Mr. Angus lVibPhersoc-l, Beilevue on Saturday evening. The barns contained a quantity oi straw and 150 bushels oats. Origin o! the fire is unknown. Fire struck again at Peters Road for the second time in ices than a month when the barn o! Albert Horton, Peters Road wins des- uoyed on Saturday evening. The barn was empty except for a quan- tiiy of hay. The neighbours form- ed a. bucket brigade and saved the house which was only a. short dis- lance from the barn. This is the second barn to be destroyed by fire on this property, the Iirst barn was burned some years ago.
