McDonald of the McDonald Construction Company, well known firm of contractors of Halifax. The late Mr. McDonald was a ntaivc of East Bay, Cape Breton. where he was born fifty- four years ago. When quite s. young man he es. tablished a painting and decor-at. ing business in Sydney, C. 3., in which he continued till the spring of i817, when he and his family removed to Dartmouth, Nova Sco- tla. I-fe leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, who was formerly Martha E. Connick of Kensington, P. E. I.. also five sons, Elrner, Earle, Bert, Donald and Byrne, and one daughter, Dolly, all of whom reside in Dartmouth except Earle who makes his home in Boston, Mess, and who arrived home to attend the funeral. About six weeks before her death Mlll- Mlllllly contracted “flu" but ii: was not till s few days before demise that her condition became alarming. Her devoted family tried by every means to stay the dread summons but God willed to take His faithful servant home. Mrs. Mullally was an ideal type of true Catholic womanhood. The "valiant woman" spoken of in Holy Scripture, “whose children shall rise up and call her blessed." Shelled a wide circle of friends. who will miss her cheery greeting and kindly assistance. A devoted and loving mother she will be es- pecially missed in the home circle where her thoughts were alway : for others. Th funeral which took place on June 27th to St. Alexis Church. Rollo Bay was a loving tribute to the deceased and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. bearing silent testimony to the respect and esteem, in which she was held by all who knew her.
