Reddin received a despatch from New
York announcing the death of Dr. Joseph
Creamer. Dr. Creamer was married to a
daughter of the late Judge Reddin, and
resided in Charlottetown for some years
before removing to New York where he
had an extensive practice. He was about
forty seven years of age at the time of his `
death. His eldest son is practising medi-
cine in New York. The deseased visited
C-liarlottctown about four years ago.
The Annual General Meeting of the
Shareholders of the Bank of Nova
Scotia was held yesterday. In ac-
tothe General Manager and Oilicers of
the Bank, Mr. 'McLeod spoke in compli-
mentary terms of his predecessor, Mr.
Fyshe, and said that he was glad that the'
President had referred to the valuable
services of that eminent Banker. At
a subsequent meeting of the Board
of Directors John Y. Payzant was elected `
President and Charles Archibald Vice 1
