season was read by the Secretary,

present. The total quantity of milk
received in the factory was 1,923,-
932 lbs., frpm which 180,369 lbs.

thelr father was away from home the
‘six children oi' -Charles Bard. residing
naar -here, were burned to death. The
house caught fire probaibly t`rom an
overheated store and was soon in
flames. A high wind prevailed and
little help was at hand. Nothing could
be done towards rescuing the `lIttlo
ones.
Mrs. Bard. the frantic mother, rush-
ed into im apartment to get the chil-
dren _but tht- smoke and flames drove
`her back. Sho was seriously hurried.
The children were undoubtedly un-
conscious from smoke at the time and
several of the youngest were asleep.
The oldest child was ton years of
age and the youngest a baiby of four
months. 'Mrs Bard was cared for by
neighbors.
