Owing to the very disagreeable weath-
er the attendance was hardly as large
as usual. There were the usual well-
stacked tables of fancy work and
home cookery, and these, including tho
candy table, were all generously pat-
ronizod. The meeting was opened at
three o’clock. and up till seven a con-
tinuous strcam of visitors wore madc
welcome. including a numbcr.o[ _tho
men of the 105th Highland Regiment.
The hall was tastefully decorated
with potted plants and patriotic flags.
Tho amount realized has not been
ascertained. but it ls anticipated that
the result will bo very satisfactory.
