Mrs. A. E. Sullivan. presided. In the absence of the secretary, Mrs. Carl Stewart, the minutes were read by Mrs. Archie Hilchey. Eight members were present. During the business meeting plans were made to hold a Christmas pantry next week at the home of Mrs. Harry Jamieson. Lunch committee for the party. will include Mrs. A. E. Sull- ivan. Mrs. Carl Stewart, Mrs. Peber Sinclair, Mrs. V. R. Pepler. Plans were also made to sponsor a dance at the Beaver Club Hall during Christmas week. During the even- ing a large amount of sewing was completed for the Hospital Nursery. Lower Montague A lady Passes t Aged 100 Years Funeral services for the late Mrs. Angelina Landry were held from the home of her son, Mr. Andrew Landry. Lower Montague to St. Mary's Church, Montague, yesterday morning, Rev. J. W. McCardlc officiated at High Mass and also at the services at the grave. The late Mrs. Landry. who had celebrated her 100th birthday on October 14th. became ill about two weeks ago. and was taken to the King's County Hospital where she passed away on .Tuesday morning. Known to many ihroughou: the dry was respected for her kind- ncss and friendliness to all. and her many acts of thouzlitfulncas will be well remembered. Al- though of such an advanced age. she was very active. and still performed her household duties prior to her illness. Living to mourn her departure are seven children. The witness and the two Pratt men then opened the door of a stock'car on I aiding and took out five calves which Chester C. Pnatt identified as his. He told of going to the station and of recognizing one of his animals-a blue and white calf-through the open slats of a stock car. He told of removing the animal and four others. The car was loaded and Ready for shipment and I train was due shortly to pick it up. Later he called the police at Souris. The wltnmc said his calves had peculiar markings from the others in the car. Three of hits were black and whliic. one a red Shocthorn and the other blue and white. He thought there were about 40 calves in the car. He said he valued his calves at approximately M50. "1 don't know." Cpl. Strong told of going to St. Peter's with his two constables on the morning of Dec. 8 in answer to a call from Chester C. Pratt. He left the constables at the rail- way intersection in St. Peter's and went on to Pratt's house himself before returning to the railway station.
