There were ten members present. in the absence of the secretary. Mrs. Carl Stewart. the minutes of the previous meeting were read by Mrs. Archie Hllchey. who act- ed as secretary for . the evening. During the business part of the meeting, plans were made for a card party to be held at the Leg- ion hall in the near future. The boys are reported as recovering satis- factorily at present. This scribe had a welcome call last, week from Rev. Louis Dou- gan, who is home on leave. He has been a chaplain with the Royal Canadian Navy for quite some time and came from Vancouver, BC. The Morell church has a lady janitor now, some thing new here. When Mr. Martell had to enter the hospital for treatment his wife took over his job as janitor and is doing fine. Mr. Ralph Sinnott of the Chand- ler Brothers Woodworking Plant, spent the weck-end with his par- ents here. Another son, Clement Sininotl, of the Provincial Bank of Canada. City, also spent the week- end at his home here. Mr. Charlie Lewis was a visitor here last week for a couple of days on his way from Lennox ls- land to Rocky Point where he will go trapping.
