Wilmot Young,_ proprietor and manager of the Young-Adams Co., made his last visit to Charlotte- town in 1914, During the four years of the war Mr. Young closed his Company and both-he and Miss Adams igave considerable assisti- .ance towards the great cause. Mr. Young was for '2 1-2 years under the direction of General I-lei-nming O. C. Military District No. 3. Mr. Young’s duties consisted of publicity manager and assistant to the chief recruiting officer of that district. In thfls connection lie made the famous military picture, "Canada in Khaki," which was shown throughout the country musty for recruiting purposes. Mr. Young has every reason to be- bleve that the Government will buy this picture as a record. It :nay seein strange to state that notwithstanding the fact that Can- ada has sent 450,000 men overseas there are practlcaly no pictures extant of the actual fighting forc- es as they existed previous to ssil- ing. "Canada in Khaki" shows nearly every branch of the sor- vice in camp, blvouac and billet with tho exception of cavalry and aviation. This picture also shows the last o'iTi_cial act in Canada of H. R. H. the Duke of Connaught, which makes it of special interest -from the historical point of view. Miss Adams devoted all her sliafe time during-this period to 'Red Cross work and speaking in the leading theatres in Canada on the Victory Loan _and in New York City on the Mberty Loan. Their many friends here were delighted to see ihein once more. --é-ooa>l- PERSONALS The Misses Betty and Margaret Blrt, formerly of Peakes Station. have let'-1' to spend the winter in Florida.
