Financial Aid by Inge Dorsey As I look in my crystal ball (which is green, of course) I can see many students sweat- ing because they didn’t get enough money from their Stu- dent Loan. Well, have no fear because you can always ap- peal!! The Student Loan appeal procedure is very simple. Many times, it is just pro- viding the Student Aid office with either more or current information. Hence, they end up shuffling some papers and you get more money. It is as simple as that ... almost. You must properly complete the pink Appeal form and the yellow Earning Verification form and sent them in (only government could be so com- plicated?). The Student Aid office doesn’t usually start process- ing appeals until October, so In Search of the Green the earlier you send yours in, the sooner you will hear from them. If this article has totally confused you, not to worry, you still have one course of action, visit your friendly neighbourhood financial aid advisor and you can find her in the Department of Student Services, first floor Main Building, at the following times: Monday 10:30 a.m. — 1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.; Tuesday 9-11 a.m. and 2:30 —4p.m.; Thursday 9-11 a.m. and Friday 10:30 — 11 a.m. or other times by appointment.
