They urged the women to work still hard- er as so many of our boys are wounded and no doubt the list will be increasing. The President Miss Ida Champion read a very interesting paper on the history of the Red Cross from its origin to the present time. The Secretary Miss Mabel Fielding read a report of the Albertoii branch of the society for its organization on September 7th last during that time they had held S7 meetings and had shipped to Charlottetown seven boxes of hospital supplies containing the following articles 60 night shirts, 25 day shirts, 20 pyjama suits, 79 Pneu- monia jackets, 13 bed jackets, 55 pairs of bed sacks. 74 pillow slips, 6 pillows, 8 sheets, 5 blankets, 16 towels, 37 hot water bottle'covers, 127 cheesecloth handkerchiefs, 99 packages of gauze, sponges, 105 washcloths, 9 nighten- gales, 47 pairs of socks. 67 pairs of mittens, 70 pairs of wristlets. 55 Bal- aclara caps, 4 knee caps, 119 flannel cholera bolts, 590 rolled bandages, 81 obdominal binders, 74 scultites band- ages, 37 many tailes bandages, 557 bandages, 126 triangular bandages. By holding four special meetings tiiev were also able to till a. rush order for 25 cholera belts. Miss Maude Myer the Treasurer stated that they had sent $50.00 for anasthetics for the hospital expended $328.82 for materi- al and their total receipts were $416.- 59.
