At Murray Harbor North, and within
the Presbyterian Church there on Tues-
day, Oct 8th, and at 8.30 p. m., which
place and time the Presbytery of P. E.
Island met and was constituted. Mr. E.
Gillis, Moderator pro tempore,with whom
were present Messrs. J. 'Sutherland and
A. W. K. Herdman, ministers; and Mr.
McLeod, ruling elder.
The Preabytery proceeded to the induc-
tion of Mr. D. J. McDonald. "
read, it w as read again to the congrega-
tion assembled, and no objection being
ofered to the life or doctorine of Mr. Mc-
Donald, Mr. E. Gillis conducted Divine
Service, preaching from John 8:12. There-
afterhe narrated thesteps and put ques-
tions of the formula, which being satis-
factcrily answered, he engaged in prayer, _
and inducted Mr. Macdonald into the
pastoral charge of Murray Harbor N ortb
the Presbytery,he was suitably addressed
upon his duties by Mr. John Sutherland,
of their obligation to their pastor.
Mr. Macdonald was thereafter welcomed
by the congregation, and induced to the
Session as their willingness to sign the
formula his name was added to the roll
The Presbytery then adjourned to meet
10th.. at 2.30 p. m.,of which public intima-
tion was made, and this sederunt closed
with the benediction.
