'I'hia is the ilrst time that ithe cup has returned to its home itown since it was donated by Sen- lator MacArthur at the opening of ‘the Summerside Curling rink. There were about 60 curlers present. The president, Mr. A. E. Harris presided and gave a brief address‘ on the ob- ject of the gathering. It was four years ago since the trophy was pre- sented by Senator MacArthur to be competed tor by Island Curling Clubs; and this was the first time that Sununerside had won it. Char- lottetown, who had battled for it at Summerside the first year had re- tained it for two seasons to lose it to Montague the third year. Mr- Harrls then called on the Senator to make the presentation. senator Mac- Arthur in presenting the cup said it gave him great pleasure to see the cup once again in the Prince County Capitol and he hoped this year it! had come to stay. The Senator said, that this season much more interest had been taken in the good old game of curling and many new members had been added to the club, which no doubt had been partly responsible for the good luck which the club had this year. It was his intention P first year. Mr. J. H. Prlchard moved a vote of thanks to the genial Sen- ‘ator which was seconded by Mr. H.’ T. Begg. Other speakers made com- plimentary remarks.
