New York, July 22.— Francjsco Muzzo, a young Italian, was éonvicted to-day on a charge of compelling San- ria Felitti, a boy of thirteen years, to beg. The prosecution was conducted by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. One of the boys feet was bidiously misshapen and Muzzo’s right arm had been amputated in ap unskillful manner, presenting a horrible appearance. It was shown that the bov’s father, Nardo Felitti, was & par ‘one, and had imported Muzzo, his own son, and eleven others similar- ly deformed, to country, from They arrived in Philadelphia 1 the 19th inst., and Muzzo, young elittt and another were city, while the remainder were to Chicago by Nardo Felitti. was remanded for sentence. os << >- MISCELLANEOUS. . < ee Lillis sent to this taken Muzzo It is rumored that Talmage will not return to the United States. Itis not the strange sights that we shall see in heaven that will so mach delight us; not the glitter and the glory ; not thediamond and the topaz ; no, it is God. He is all and ia all, Men must trust rather to their eyes than to their ears : the effect of precept is, therefore, slow and tedious, whilst that of exampio is summary and effec- tual. When one flatteringly praises me, always commends me, never rebukes me, assists my faults, and forgives me before I have repented—he is my enemy. Could we but prevail with the great- est debauchees among us to change their lives, we should find it no very hard matter to change their judge- mente. It is a great disgrace to religion to imagine that is is an enemy to mirth and cheerfulness, and a severe oxactor of pensive looks and solemn faces. —> <> <- -—___ -_ _-- — Liver is King. The liver is the imperial organ of the whole human system, as it controls the life, health and happiness of man. When it is digturbed in its proper action, all kinds of ailments are the natural result. The di- gestion of food, the movements of the heart and blood, the action of the brain and ner- vous system, are all immediately connected with tie workings of the liver. Harpixe, Esq., Brockville, Ont.:— Dear Sin—It is now two years since your ‘“‘Censtitutional Catarrh Remedy’ was intro- duced to me. I have waited this ong to see if the eure would remain permanent, before do- ing this, my duty, to you, as at first the happy effects seemed to me to be “‘too good to true.” I was afflicted in my head for years before I suspected it to be Catarrh. In reading in your Circular I saw my case described in many ticulars. The inward ‘‘drop” from the head had become very disagreeable, and a choking sensation often preventing me from lying long, I would feel like smothering and be compelled to sit upin the bed. My health and spirits were seriously affected. When your agent came to Walkertowa in August, 1876, I secured three bottles. Before I had used a quarter of the contents of one bottle I found decided re- lief, and when I had used two bottles and a third, I quit taking it, feeling quite cured of that ailment, and have not used any since until of late I have taken some for a cold in my head, A sense of duty to sufferers from that loath- some disease, Catarrh, prompts me to send you this Certificate, unsolicited, with leave to make what use of it yom may see proper Yours truly, W.
