volume 9, number iseptemherig, 197'] editorial The Student Union News- _ paper (The SUN) welcomes students to (and back to) UPEI. We realize that no one wants to hear the word welcome once more but one must be polite. The SUN is the student newspaper for UPEI. It is definately put together by students of UPEI, but »whether it is written by them or not is questionable. In past years the paper had a small staff and half _of the material used was reprinted frOm other sources. The lack of participation in the writing of the pa- per was blamed on student apathy. This is not com- pletely true. Students not knowing what the paper wanted to print was the main problem. Therefore, if any of you write, you can publish in the paper. For example, many compositions for courses would make excel- lent reading material. A lot of students write poetry, short stories, cri- tiques and so on for their Student union jobs ideadline sept. 21 CAMPUS POLICE l chief 8 l assistant chief;2 Senior members as well as 25 regular members.
