Rankin dominated the sailing with an ideal sailing breeze to take a minute and 15 second lead over Simmons. and during the third race. the wind in- creased to around 15 mph and Rankin walked into a three‘ and a half minute gap at the finish line. Placing fourth In the com- petition was Bill Simmons and fifth was Peter Williams. Three scout crews from Summersidel made up the total of eight boats entered. The first races in the Boy Scout National will get under way on Tuesday. August 11 and will tereminate Friday. Aug. 14.
