year, and he is also the grand sire of
Parker L., the fastest green gelding _of

Another province bred, Fleetstep,
owned by Dr. Taylor, Moncton, divides
the honors with Estill Boy, of the
Springhill Stables, as the fastest trotter
of the season, each having reduced their
records to 2.101. The latter's winnings
for the season reached $810.
The fastest stallion of the season was
Red Pepper, owned by W. J. Furbush‘
West' Newton, Mass., who took a record
of 2.1715 at Chatham. Red Pcpper`s win-
ninrrs ln seven races were $050. The
fastest stallion owned in the provinces
was Banlt-o, owned by J. C. Ipirder, Syd-
ney, with a mark of 2.l8f}, also at Chat-
