THE Leadville, Col, Herald says:- The funeral of Mr. John McKenzie took place yesterday from the residence of Mr Samuel D. Nicholson. Rev. A Grant Evans ciliciaxing, and was very largely attended. Among others the Messrs. McKenzie from Victor and Mr. Murt Nicholson from Like City:were present. For some time previous to his death Mr. McKenzie had noticed various pre- monitory symptoms cf hcart weakness, but without experiencing any serious suffering or entertaining a'iy fears of fatal results. On the day ot his death he went to workfas usual, but early in the afternoon quit work complaining of a pain in the chest. He went to 'his house after seeinga neighbor and ar- ranging with the latter to go to work in his place. In the evening the mine foreman and 'engineer called to see him, but getting no reply on knocking at the door, they concluded he had gone to his nephews (Mr. Nicholson )or down town. Not having seen him in the meantime they became uneasy on the following evening and called the mat- ter to Mr. Nicholson s attention, who at once proceeded to Mr. Mcl{enzie's house and having effected an entrance found that he had passed peacefully away, no doubt shortly after retiring on his return from work Saturday af;er- noon. The deceased lived for many years in Rose Valley, P. E. 1', which he left about years ago. He leaves a large family in Rose Valley. Coroner Price of Leadville was summoned and took charge of the remains. The de- cease i was about 5:2 years of age and, leaves a leaves a large number of friends and relatives in P. E. Island to mourn the loss of a kinds and generous father and friend. ' l _ W _ *_ J i Madctoi|lYcu % There are two kinds of cut- * ters in our business and it’s a el’ f portant.
