NEW YORK, (AP)-The Korean truce was the ace topic in the stock market last week. It was the final gauge which prudent traders their purchases and pales. The stock market in the past three years has been severely shaken by Korean -developments that everyone is shy. So many times in the last three years a sharp shakeout in the market has discounted a cease fire, and just as many times the market has risen to go through the same pro- cess all over again. ' The trading pace last week was a slow crawl. The daily average vol- ume was 894,000. The Associated Press average of 00 stocks lost 50 cents on the week. the second weekly decline after four straight weekly advances. Brokers were quick to point out against measured 'that dull markets following a de- cllne. such as experienced earlier this year, have in the past been followed by higher prices.
