Kent. Past Grand Representative of

of the 105th Battalion were present in
a body and by the loud applause given
were well pleased with the entertain-
ment. particularly the “local hits" a-
gainst some of the members. The
Souris Band furnished excellent mus-
ic throughout tlie evening which was
greatly appreciated, as was the solo
by Mr. M. S. Acorn and the step danc-
ing by Pte. Cody and L. F. Paquet.
The amount realized including the
sale of home made candy in the neigh-
bourhood of $70.
"The very best description of life
in the trenches yet heard here." was
the unanimous opinion of those who
had thc privilege of hearing Capt. Fred
May of the “Fighting 20th" Battalion
at St. Petor’s Schoolroom last night.
The attendance unfortunately was not
what it should have been considering
the worthy ohject-to help pay for the
_new instruments for the 105th Batta-
lion. Judge Fitzgerald presided and
in addition there was an excellent
programme including ii. piano solo. a
vocal solo by Mr. A. Bruce, Violin solo
by l’rol'. Vinnlcombe, band selection by
thc 105th musicians and Edison Dia-
