was conducted by W. H. Smith, who
preached from John 16:12. Hr. Mc-
Donald narrated the steps taken toward
obtaining a minister. put the usual
question and by prayer inducted Mr.
Gratz to the pastoral charge of the con-
gregation. The newly inducted minis-
ter wasaddresiwd by Mr. Gunn and the
people by Hr. Wnidden. M.. G a z ri-
c. ii..u a warm welcome from thg meni-
bers of Presbytery and the congregation
and begins his work under very favor-
able conditions. Mr. Fisher reported
that on the 21st inet, he had moderated
in a call at Cavendish.. which issued in
favor of Mr. M. H. McIntosh, was
signed by 124 eommunicants, 86 ad;
herents and accompanied by the guaran-
tee of 8700 stipend with free use of
manse and glebe. Mr. MacLeod coni-
missionir from the congregation was
