S. Hinton, K.C., in Summerside yesterday on a charge of attempted arson. According to the evidence he set a fire in the Prince County Jail on August 3rd while he was n prisoner there. The jailor succeeded in extinguish- ing the blaze with a garden hose and ho fire alarm was turned ln. He was serving a term for theft. At the same court a party from Summerslde was fined $200 and costs for possession under the Temperance Act. Two men from French River were fined $20 and costs for being intoxicated. Three Indians were fined $10 and costs under the Indinn Act for being in- foxicafed.
