Two boys were wrestling in a canvass cot when it upset and one of the boys fell on the little girl who was stand- ing close by. She was knocked to the ground. the boy failing across her leg breaking it badly above the lrnee. The -little one suffered' great pain. A physician was summoned with all haste and the limb was set. The little four year old daughter of as can be expected. Mrs. James Bernard, a life long res- ident of Long River, passed peacefully away at her home on Wednesday, July 1'itli, at the age of 75 years. The de- ceased had been ill for a long time, having been confined to bergbed fol nine years. She was of a cheery d'is- position andulthough at times she suffered intensely, she bore her sick- ness with true Christian patience and fortitude, Mrs. Bernard was formerly .lliss Christy Graham. Besides her grief-stricken husband she leaves to , mourn five daughters, four sons, forty- five grand children and six great igrand children.
