Bruce Pltblado is rc son of John Pitbiado and was born in Fifeshire, Scotland, in 1836, com-, ing, to Nova Scotia with his parents In 1850. LONDON, Dec. - 13-In the height of 3 gale a huge cantilever crane at Vickers' naval construction yard at Barrows was blown over, with the. result that two men, Thomsn Scott and Thomas McKenzie of Birken- head, were killed, and twelve other workmen injured. The big cantilever cranes stand high above the hulls of ships in course oi construmtion and run on veying material from one place to an- other when a sudden squall of wind carried it along.
