I am usually skeptical of things advertised as "free." (There's gotta be a catch). IVbreso, the fact that it was only two days before Halloween should have made me more doubtful, but I made my way to Steel Recital Hall. , When I entered, I was taken aback. Our beloved cafeteria entrance had been turned into a book— store: ness", "Keep off the Grass" and '."I‘he Creation of the Cloud". find "The Late, Great, Planet Earth," so I went up to the lecture. . The speaker was Paula Zarzycki, faculty member of Surrmit University. She was to present amazing scientific research and the latest discoveries about a aura . "Cosmic Conscious— I couldn't ‘ explain that if you ,can control your, aura, you can control the circum- stances of your life. Terrific! I had an exam tomorrow and there was this guy I had my eye on. This stuff could come in handy. attention was held. . . . . for about 15 minutes. Ms. Zarzyckirwas a good speaker; but the topic and the presentation left nuch to be desired. The situation reminded me of a professional form of the Hare Krishna propogandists I used to / / avoid in New York City. When I heard that we all have a bank account in heaven and saw slides of the thumbprints of. a couple kissing, I decided there was' a movie downtown that I wanted to see. Yes, I left, 'even before it was over. I R even missed the "inspiring message" of Elizabeth Clare Prophet. It didn't ruin my day. They were present in Robertson Library when I got out‘of class» on Monday night, I didn't think they were following- me, but all the same, I I r...
