MacKenzie inviting the girls to attend the World's Day of Prayer service on Feb. 9th. The mil call of Sunday School and C. G. l. T. followed. and if was noted that five had periccl ai- icndance. During the worship period the scripture was read by Miss Greia Wigginlon. after which the hymn, "Take Time To Be Holy", was sung. Excerpts from the story. "Looking Back", were read, followed by prayer. During -the study period, the lcader gave the girls Japanese words to copy in their noicibooks. The evening was spent working on tea towels. -while the leader read stories and myths of Japan. Valleyfield W.M.S. Monthly Meeting The regular monthly meeting of the Valleyiicld W. M. S. was -lield at the misuse on Thursday evening. Mrs. M. Coo-pcr was in charge of the worship period. taken from the Missionary Monthly. the theme being. "God Working To- gether With Us". The call to war- ship was read by the leader, fol- lowed by the -hymn. "Standing At The Portal." The loader was as- sisted by Mrs. A. J. MacPlierson. Prayers were given by three mem- bers, Mrs. M. D. The president then took charge of the business period. The min- utee of title last meeting were read and approved. Roll call was ans- -wered by twenty members with a verse from Acts. The treasurer. Mrs. Jack Ms.cPhe'rson. gave her final report. having completed twenty years as treasurer. and passed the books over to the new treasurer, Mrs. Roddy MacPher- son. The Rev. A. C.
