Annear, ex-M.L.A., was held from the Montague United Church, Oct. 22nd, with Rev. A. S. Adams of- ficiating. The late Mr. Annear was a. much honored and respected gentleman of this community and a very large number of people from all over the district came to pay their respects to their de- parted friend_ and to offer their deepest sympathy to the family in their sad bereavement. There‘ were present among the large gathering the members of the Provincial Legislature, notably Premier J. Waiter Jones. and Chief Justice Thane A. Campbell, who paid their respects to a man who had been their intimate associate for many years. The kindness and cheerfulness of the late Mr. An- near will be sadly missed by all who knew him, and his sterling qualities will long be remembered. The interment took place in the Lower Montague Cemetery. The active pallbearers were Messrs. L. H. Poole, R. G. MacDonald. Hu- bert Nelson, David Wright. Mont. Wright and Alex Hamilton.
