The annual meeting of Hunter River school district was held with a small attendance of ratepayers. Dr. Douglas occupied the chair. Eiward McRae was elected trustee In place of Geo. S.ll(oLeod. A large and enthusiastic school meetinil was held In Southport cn Tuesday. $75 supplement was voted on condition that the present teacher Allison Campbell is re-engaged also $35 for contingencies and $40 for repairs. Midsummer vacation was adopted and the trustees intend hav- ing the school house repainted during the year. The Trustees for the ensuing year are Daniel Stewart (re elected) Mack Henry and Ignatius Roach. VERNON RIVER. BRIDGE. At the annual meeting of the School District sixty dollars was voted as supple- ments to teachers viz thirty dollars to principal and thirty dollars Lo assistant. The Trustees for the ensuing year are John J McGillivray, William A Masters, and John M McLeod.
