It appears ea fortnight ago the mail clerk’s box containing among other things stamps used by the Department in sealing bags, was stolen from the Postal Car of one of the trains running between there and St. John. The articles obtained by the the time were thought to be valuciess to them, and the theft seemed an objectless one; but the object has since becume apparent, and has been found to be | part of a most cleverly devised plam to rob the mails.
