The fisheries division of the Quebec bureau of statistics said 24,629,800 pounds of fish and shell- fish were landed duringthe month, up 9.5 per cent from the July, 1957 total. They were valued at $705,991, an increase of 9.7 per cent. During July, 18,998,500 pounds of cod were landed, representing a value of $438,442—a decrease of 3.3 per cent in the catch, but an increase of 12.7 in value coin- pared with the same month a year ago.
