ABOUT midnight on Wednesday last
the family of Mr. J. W. Brown, Type
Valley,were startled to find their dwelling
house on fire. Fortunately the fire was”
discovered_ in time and was soon
extinguished by the exertions of the
neighbors who hastened to the rescue
as soon as alarmed by Miss Milly Brown,
vho was the first to make the discovery.
The fire originated on the first floor which
must have been ignited by the furnace,
and when discovered the fire had reached
the second story.
