MONTREAL MONTREAL (CP)—The Mont- Feal and Canadian stock ex- changes suffered one of its.worst declines this year in very quiet trading Thursday. Canadian Dominion Sugar, which Wednesday cut its regular quarterly dividend in half, lost 5% at 18% in active trading. It hit a new low of 18 earlier. Losses of more than a_ point ‘were common in most stock clas- sifications. Opening prices. were narrowly lower and they kept on falling all day. Some early gains were wiped out.
