Thebest grades came from Prince Edward Island. \ ‘ 1 It will take»from 15 to 20 years to supply the market with as many pelts as was procured from the wilds ten years ago. The wealth of the world is increasing the demand for furs every year. " Present prices of P. E. I. pedigreed live Silver Black Foxes range from $15,000 to $30,000 per pair. _ I A pair of extra choice breeders with a big producing record; sold in 1913 for $32,500, and another pair of breeders and their first litter of four pups, were sold in 1913 for $51,000. _' " The averafge life_ of the Silver Black-fox is from 10 to 12 ears and the size o the litter runs from 2 to 7 pups, the average being 3 1-2 to each ranch female. - Investors all over the world are waking up to the possibilities of furfarming, and that P. E. Island with only 1,602 pure bred Sil- yer Black Foxes cannot supply _the demand, hence the high and increasing prices for breeding ,_ap;mals.W ,Q ,, _ The profits divided among investors in P. VE. Island ranches in 1913 aggregate over $3,000,000 according to the Government Re- port for the year ended 31st December, 1 13.
