Because of the difficulty of ob- tnlnlng coal during the last few months. the dealers have no old stocks on hand. and as a result of this situation all of the coal arriving in future is expected to be invoiced at the new price. Mrs. Margaret Ran- kin. about 5 n.m. on Saturday morning. Mrs. Rankin awakened early and smelled smoke. Upon investigation she found the living room to be on fire. and because of smoke was unable to reach the telephone located in the room. to summon help. She immediately rushed next door and phoned the Sumniersldc Fire Department. who quickly responded to the call. Miliman from. who loved his home hymns sung and sermons in most churches paid tribute to the King and invocations for the guidance of the new Queen Elizabeth II. At St. Mary's Anglican Church a memorial service was conducted for the late King and special pray- ers were said for the new Queen.
