-5- April 22/77. Earle Hickey observed a Glossy Ibis from l3.30 to l5.00 near the Hillsborough River, l/2 mile West of Mount Stewart. Confirmation of the sighting was made by Bruce Pigot. The last recorded sighting was on April 2h, I975 when Barrett Horne observed two Glossy 'blS feeding near the Queen's Road, Montague. EARLY RETURNING MIGRANTS During the spring of 1977, many avian migrants received their cue to return to the summer residence unusually early.
