Who that was present in .lunes' church in Charlottetown on Sunday October 12. 1899. at the IV Edward Island Volunteers for the First South African contingent. will ever forget the haunting melody of the prayer-in-song, when the hymn "God be with you till we meet again." was sung so aiicctingly that there was hardly a. dry eye in the congregation? Tribute to her memory is now gracefully given by the Rev. Dr. J. K. Fraser who occupied the pulpit of saint James' Church while the chaplain of the Conting- ent. Rev. Dr. T. F. Fullerton, was absent in south Africa. Dr. Fraser says, "She was my soloist. 1: de- pended so much on her. she -was a true friend and a grand and' noble woman.
