Bhe also pointed out that other articles could be made in much the same manner. The crepe paper. which had been cut in strips, was drawn through a narrow opening to form a thread. The threads were woven on it circular piece of cardboard and the resulting circle of "crepe paper material" was folded and then lined and sewn with a zipper. The finished purse. in the shape of a half moon. was given a coat of shellac. The purse which Mrs. Nicholson displayed was very pretty and was admired by the members as it was passed around. A penny sale was held by Mrs. Robert Campbell and the holder of the lucky ticket. chosen by Mrs. J. N. MacDonald, was Mrs. Webb Nicholson.
