What's on at the Barn

Well, this is it folks, the last “What's On” article of the year. You might want to save this article because it will contain lots of important information. The grand finale to our “Fun in the Sun” is shaping up to be quite anight. Keep an eye out around campus for signs announcing all the details for this special night. Up-and- coming band “High Heel Sneakers” will be rockin’ the Lounge (they’re playing Senior Week, too!) Watch the big sign now out in front of the Barn (pretty nice, eh?). In case you think it looks familiar, you're right, because it’s the old sign from the Confederation Centre of the Arts Box Office roof (a big thanks to the Confed Stafft).

This is how the big giveaway night will work: as of the 24 of March we will have nine lucky qualifiers (see below). On Thursday everyone entering The Barn who purchases a Moosehead product (the sponsor of the trip) will receive one ballot; buy ten, get ten ballots! These last entries will have the chance to be the last qualifier for a chance to win an all- expense paid trip for two to St. Petersburg, Florida, from April 30 to May 7h (flight, hotel, etc.). The lucky winners will be travelling with winners from campuses all over Atlantic Canada, so you can be sure to meet some great people on your trip.

The ten lucky qualifiers’ names will then be put in a ballot box and we will begin to eliminate one entry at a time (probably every fifteen minutes or so) until there is one lucky person left inthe contest. Any “deals” between draws are up to the contestants; for example: if there are three people left, one contestant (or someone in the crowd!) may be able to ‘strike a deal’ with the others to win the trip. It should make for a dramatic night.
