There seema to be some dis- satisfaction with the way the new Trans-Canada Highway joins the highway that runa into Sum- merside. Motorists from Summe - side are saying that the junction does not attract sufficient notice. If Summerside drivers almost passed this Junction without real- izing it was the turn-off into the Prince County capital. a stranger io the Island Province would be much more likely to do so. What looked like a wise solution to the problem was put forth by a mem- ber of the Summcrside Board of Trade. but it is possible no very drastic change can be made at this late date. We do not know the Government's plans regard- ing this junction but hope that with the aid of conspicuous signs and an information bureau at this location the unsatisfactory siiua- tion can be greatly improved.

We have seen nur first rural musical festival and -enjoyed it very much. The moving spirits in this wortli-while project .ai'e to he congratulated on their achievement thus far. It was decided to order 50 Uiilt- ed Church calendars for sale to members of the congregation and plans were made for the bazaar to be held on December 8th. Mrs. C.R. Hunter and Mrs. Arthur Wil- kic are on a committee to arrange plans for the sale. Several mem- bcrs volunteered to make posters.

The committee in charge of sell- ing food will be Mrs. Wesley Har- dy. Mrs. R.E. McDonald and Mrs CR. Ls-ard. In charge of fancy wort: will be vfrs. .l.C. Matthews, Mrs. G.I-I. Collin and Mrs. Arthur Wilkie.

Ben Cameron had been instantly killed by a car while on a week- end visit to the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Cameron. in cnrnpany with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fulton Paynter. and granddaughter Shirley. were walking home from church when the Grim Reaper claimed one that was a highly respected citi- zen, a true and loving wife and nioiliciz

Mrs. Caniei-on was in her 56th year and was a. daughter of the late William Cameron and Mrs. Cameron. she leaves to mourn her passing. ht-r grief-stricken husband. one daughter and two sons. Gei-ti-iidc. ilvfra. Fulton Payntcr), the Glades, N B; and Sheldon and Elwood. Kenaington. One son, Leslie gave his life in France in 194.4. Also mourning are her mother. Mrs. Bessie Camer- on. Freetown and two sistei-a., Lulu lMl's. George R-ccvesl. Free- town and Mrs. Edith Webster, N. H.. who arrived for the funeral.

Her largely attended funeral was held from the United Church on October ll and was conducted by her pastor. Rev. L. M. Murray. He spoke highly of

the esteem in which she was held.

The hymns sung were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." and "Jesus Lover of my Soul." "The Ninety and Nine" was feellngly rendered

by a close friend of the family,
