-The Tryon Women's Institute monthly meeting was held at the
home of Mrs. October 13th. The meeting opened with the Ode and the Creed. the president in the chair. Fifteen members responded to roll call and one visitor was present.

opted. Mrs. Jones reported she had not heard from Dr. Dewar. and the treasurer reported s'i6.91 taken at the bean supper. v An adult sewing class was or- ganized.and it was decided to send for capsules for the school child- ren.
Correspondence was read and discussed. and the school commit- tee reported some books needed. The sick ocmmittee reported two calls made.
It was moved. seconded and carried that lunches be sold at the shut Gain Cavalcade, and that 310.00 be given for pins for the South Shore Musical Festival.
,The meeting next month will be at Mrs. Spurgeon Clark's. This is the annual meeting and roll call will be answered by paying mem- bership fee. The lunch committee will be Mrs. Geo. Robblee. Mrs. Jones. and Mrs. R. Gamble.
The meeting closed in the usual manner andllunch was served by the committee.

Late autumn blooms from Beech- wood garden were the setting for a pretty Fall wedding which took place in Zion Presbyterian Church. Charlottetown, October 15th, when Betty Zelda, daughter oi Mr. and Mrs. Arthur King. Charlottetown, became the bride of Everett King Howatt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ev- erett K. Howatt. Sr., North Tryon.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. C. Web- ster with Mr. Frank Johnson pre- siding'at the organ. During the signing of the register, Mr. Ivan Robinson sang very effectively "The Lord's Prayer." '
The bride. who was given in marriage by her father, looked charming in an Elizabethan style gown of white satin with lace yoke and lily point sleeves. Her fingertip length veil of tulle illusion was caught to e Juliet cap of white satin. She carried a. bouquet of red roses.
Mrs. Ralph Burclett, sister of the bride as matron of honour. was gowned in pale green taffeta with nylon yoke and inserts with mitts and Juliet cap to match.
The bridesmaid. Miss Nellie Mc- Beth, was similarly gowned in, mauve, while little Miss Pearle Mc-i Beth, as flower girl, wore plnlr taf-i feta with matching headdress. All attendants carried nosegays of mixed flowers.
Mr. Richard Howatt, brother of the groom. was groomsman. The ushers were Mr. Ralph Burdett and Mr. Keith Robinson.
For the occasion the hridels mother chose a dress of forest green crepe with black feather hat and matching accessories. Her cor- sage was of pink carnations. The groom's mother wore a dress of navy crepe with black accessories and a. corsage of deep rose carna- tions.
The reception 'was held in Zion
being proposed by Mr. Webster and responded to by the groom. Serv- ing were members of the 11th Com- pany of Girl Guides of which the bride was is former leader.
Amid a shower of good wishes the happy young couple left on a honeymoon trip to points of inter- est in the Marltimes.
For travelling the bride chose a suit of Oxford grey wool flannel with matching topcoat, burgandy velvet hat and accessories. Her cor- sage was of pink carnations.
On their return they will reside in Tryon. Prior to her marriage,

Macllougali - Mackenzle Wedding
Canoe Cove Presbyterian Church was the scene of a very pretty autumn wedding on Thursday. September 25th at 4.30 p.m., when Caroline Esther. only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander MacKen- zie, Canoe Cove, became the bride of Allan Lloyd Macnougall. son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert MacDoug- ali of the same place.
Autumn leaves. ferns, baskets of gladioli and mixed flowers formed the setting for the double ring ceremony which was'performed by the Rev. G.C. Webster. Mrs. Mer- vin MacPhec was the organist and Mrs. Cecil Macxenzle sang "I Love You Truly", and "0 Perfect Love".
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a. full length gown of white nylon net over slipper satin, and lace fitted. jacket with lily point sleeves and Peter Pan collar embroidered with seed pearls. Her fingertip veil fell from a coronet of seed pearls and rhinestones. She carried a bou- quet of red roses and maiden hair fern.
-Mrs. Clifford Moffatt, sister of the groom, was matron of honour. She wore a gown of pale pink sheer with fitted bodice and short puffed sleeves.
